Earlier this year, my grandma was diagnosed with dementia and throughout this year I have documented the changes in her behaviour. She bases her memories and conversations around her 77 year long marriage to my grandad who recently passed away and as a mother of ten she has shown great determination and is a great inspiration to our family. Now it is our turn to give something back to her and take care of her like she has taken care of both her own children and her children's children. Whilst taking the photographs she often gets lost in her mind which I feel that the photographs demonstrate and the variation of emotion due to the power of dementia.
